This is important!
All items must be tagged and priced before they are brought to the sale. You must tag each item with a 3x5 index card. You can make your own cards, but they need to be sturdy and 3x5 in size. Making your cards out of all the same colored cardstock, helps us seperate the cards at the end. For example bright orange, yellow, etc are some examples people did last year. Turn the card vertical and start writing an inch below the pin. That way, we can just cut off the card for our records instead of taking out every pin. Put your consignor code number in the upper left corner. Put the size in the upper right, if applicable. Write a brief description of the item in the middle of the card. Put your price in the lower right.
DISCOUNT DAY: for the last 3 hours of the
day on Saturday, marked items will be
50%. You
have the option of discounting your items if they haven't sold by the
last day. When tagging your item, put a red dot, circle, or
sticker in the left hand corner for 50% off. You may also leave your item for full price if you like.
Look at the example below. ALL ITEMS MUST BE TAGGED LIKE

Attach the 3x5 card to the article using a large
safety pin. Non-clothing items can be tagged by punching a hole in
the card and attaching the card with twine or strong string, You may
also use packing tape. Staples damage the item. Shoes: put your code
number on the sole of each shoe with masking tape for identification
purposes. Then, tie the laces together and put a safety pin through the
laces and the tag.
Bring clothing on hangers ready to sale. Group according to size and gender. Do not put s-m-l on
the tag. Write the number size i.e. 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months,
3 T, 6x, Juniors 5 etc. Hangers will not be returned. However, they will
be collected and put in a box and are available for pick up during the
pick up times. First come, first serve. If you really want
your hangers back, tag them with masking tape and we will try to keep
them in a separate box. They tend to look better and sell better.
Ideas for tagging non-clothing items: For books, attach to the inside front cover with packing tape. Toys with multiple pieces must be secured properly. Group bibs, sheets, socks, newborn onesies, receiving blankets, blocks, puzzles, small toys, etc. in clear plastic bags that zip. All items in plastic should have a description of the items on a note in the bag along with your code number. For example: 2 crib sheets, 3 bibs, 3 onesies, doll with four outfits, etc. Tape a card to the outside of the bag as well or use a large safety pin. Items that are grouped in a bag are more safe from little hands if the bag is also taped closed with packing tape. Puzzles and games with missing pieces will not be accepted. Be creative with your tagging, but fill out the card correctly and remember that if a card falls off, the item can’t be sold. You may choose to put a piece of masking tape on the inside of the article with your consignor number in case a tag gets lost for identification purposes.
